Fortnum & Mason tea hamper surprise!

This morning to my delight I received a prezzie in the mail from my friend SP in England! The box revealled it was from Fortnum & Mason, which (since SP knows me ever so well after 26 years of friendship) could only mean one thing… TEA! Yay!

Included in the cute wicker hamper:

– Cornish Clotted Cream English Thin Biscuits
– Royal Blend tea (strong)
– Earl Grey Classic (aromatic)
– Burleigh ‘Celeste’ mug
– WMF tea strainer

And to top that off, today’s Wagjag.com deal was Afternoon Tea for Two in the Library Bar at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel! Regularly priced at $79, the deal cost merely $38. Afternoon tea is such a nice way to spend an afternoon, and although it does seem expensive compared to a Grande Awake and slice of banana loaf at your local Starbucks, the civility and novelty of taking tea in a grand hotel (as opposed to a grande paper cup) is something you should indulge in at least once a season! My favourite so far is the Windsor Arms (my friend M of the M&Ms prefers the Four Seasons) but I always enjoy trying a new hotel.

Afternoon tea. Fortnum & Mason. A tea-lightful day! :o)

Toods,
